ABOUT BSS WOMEN

Our Mission

We are dedicated to equipping, encouraging, and empowering women to live their fullest lives while fulfilling their purpose in Christ Jesus.

Our Vision

We aim to create uplifting and inspirational events that inspire and empower women worldwide. By encouraging purposeful living, we will impact our families, communities and the world with the redeeming love that can only be found in Jesus Christ

Initiatives

We support missionary families in Northern Nigeria who risk their lives to spread the gospel pf Jesus Christ; additionally through ghai initiatives, we are able to support access to quality education for indigent children in Nigeria.

WE WEREN’T MADE TO BE ALONE

About BSS Conference

In 2007, inspired by God, Pastor Bola Olawale hosted the first BSSWomen Conference. What began as a small gathering of women with a shared vision has grown into a powerful, global movement.

On October 1st, 2007, in Lagos, Nigeria, 110 women came together, resolved and determined, believing that God had called them to something greater.

BSSWomen started as a conference for nurturing the body, soul, and spirit of women. But it soon became something much more. It has become a community, united by faith, compassion, and a shared mission.

Over the years, this movement has grown beyond borders, reaching women in cities across Nigeria and beyond. From its beginnings in Lagos, the conference extended to Ibadan in 2014, crossed into the United States with its inaugural Dallas event in 2017, and has since expanded to Atlanta, Costa Rica, and now to London. BSSWomen continues to expand its reach, bringing hope and healing wherever it goes.

For the past 19 years, BSSWomen has not only grown in size but also in its mission. The heart of BSSWomen community beats for the forgotten, the underserved, and the vulnerable.

Twice a month, women gather online to study the Bible. Every quarter, they fast and pray together, drawing strength from God and encouraging one another.

In northern Nigeria, BSSWomen community stands with missionaries, who serve in some of the most challenging conditions to spread the gospel of Jesu Christ. Today, 20 missionaries receive monthly support of 25,000 Naira each, along with provisions and scholarships for their children that enable them to continue their work, bringing light to dark places.

In Dallas, Texas, BSS Women reach out to the homeless—not just with food, clothing and supplies but with hope, dignity, and restoration, and through these acts of kindness, lives are being rebuilt yearly.

In 2008, BSSWomen established gem HIV & AIDS Initiative (gHAI), with a clear mission: to educate, support, and advocate for vulnerable children, youth, and women. Since then, gHAI has trained 1,500 young people in HIV/AIDS awareness, equipping them with vital knowledge about prevention, testing, and treatment. Evolving to meet the most pressing needs, ghai initiatives now focuses on providing equitable education access to indigent children.

BSS Women, through gHAI, organise a “Feed-A-Child” school program, and have served over 329,600 nutritious breakfasts and thousands of school supplies to children across 16 Nigerian public schools, ensuring they are nourished and ready to learn. gHAI ensures that the children not only have the strength to learn, but also the hope to rise above their circumstances.

Every December, gHAI hosts a special Christmas party for children, youth, and women living with HIV and AIDS at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, bringing joy, gifts, and a sense of belonging to those often overlooked, and sending a message, that no one is forgotten by God.

BSS Women community is driven by compassion to reach more children, to lift more women, and to bring hope where there is despair. Shining the light of hope, redemption and identity rooted in Jesus Christ.

We need community

From the very beginning, God declared, “It is not good for man to be alone” (Genesis 2:18). This truth extends beyond marriage and points to a deeper spiritual and emotional need—we were created for connection. As women, we thrive in meaningful community where we are seen, known, and loved.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, “Two are better than one… If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” God designed us to walk through life with others—to celebrate victories, share burdens, and grow in faith together. In seasons of joy and hardship alike, we find strength in sisterhood.

Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Women need community not just for comfort, but for growth. In healthy community, we challenge each other to become who God created us to be.

You weren’t made to carry life alone. You were made for love, support, laughter, accountability, and grace. Find your people. Lean in. Because in community, we reflect the heart of our Creator.

Which is why we choose to do life together
